Fall 2007

Classes have gone very well this semester. I am looking forward to a break for Thanksgiving, getting exams over with, Christmas Break, and then starting all over again for the spring semester.

This blog project is actually for my Into to Computers class.
I'm also taking Probability and Statistics; Ethics, Society, and the Environment; World Civilization 1; and World Regional Geography.

Extra-Curricular stuff is practically taking over my life, and I am constantly getting involved in new things. I continued singing in the Women's Ensemble, and am very active as a Gamma Sigma Sigma- we just do service for others all the time and have lots of fun doing it. I took a leadership role in FCA this semester and have had a blast and made a few great friends- I'm looking forward to what happens in FCA over the next few years and also about possibly working at Leadership Camp in St. Simon's this summer.

I've also gotten back into reading for fun- it's been hard with all my classes and the heavy reading that college brings about. Some of my favorite books that I"ve read recently were by Karen Kingsbury and Lurlene McDaniel. I started at the beginning of the fiction section during Maymester and have just picked back up where I left off. I am finally to the An authors, but the last book that I finished reading is Family Man by Annabel Aldreman. It was a great short novel that I read in almost one sitting that was actually set in Georgia. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to keep reading. Hopefully I get through all of the fiction section (the ones that I pick to read anyway!) by the time I graduate in May of 2010- nice goal, huh???

Barry and I are still doing well. We just celebrated one-and-a-half years together. But it was among some rough times. We've had some sad news in our families. His grandpa just passed away and my granddad is having some health problems as well. He is currently in the hospital because of a mild stroke and we are still waiting for more test results- the tests and scans and everything seem never-ending.

I hope everyone has a great holiday season. I know Halloween brought too much candy and Thanksgiving will bring too much turkey, but hopefully Christmas will bring a time of much celebration of Jesus' birth and of family.
Love, Beth
